A migraine headache is high on the list of health problems that debilitate people around the world each year. There are several strategies that are helpful with a migraine headache that can be very effective. Migraines are normally divided up into two different types although many more subdivisions exist. These two main categories are ‘common’ and ‘classic’ a migraine.
Chiropractic treatment has been shown to be effective for migraine sufferers. The pain of a headache is normally one-sided covering half of the forehead and one eye, however, pain can also spread from the back of the head over to the eye or in some cases be located over both eyes. Do Painkillers For Chronic Pain Can Lead To Depression?
An addiction to prescription painkillers is more common than you might think. The best way to reduce the number of people addicted to painkillers is for friends and family members to get involved when they see signs of abuse. Addiction to prescription painkillers is also dangerous, and these have a greater potential for abuse.
An overdose of painkillers is almost always the result of respiratory failure. The most common sign that someone is abusing painkillers is the refilling of prescriptions with no cause. Different types of painkillers are sometimes combined together into one tablet – for example, paracetamol plus codeine (co-codamol). Continue reading “Painkillers Can Sometimes Increase Chronic Pain”
Frozen shoulder is a condition that causes pain and stiffness in the shoulder. Frozen shoulder begins with trauma or surgical procedures that result in chronic inflammation of that joint – other joints are not affected.
Frozen shoulder is most likely to occur in people who are 35-50 years old. This condition severely limits the range of motion of your shoulder. Frozen shoulder begins with inflammation that, if not treated immediately, results in scarring, thickening, and shrinkage of the joint capsule.
Medical Doctors in San Diego OVER Prescribing Opioids
Not ALL ‘Medical’ Doctors in San Diego are Guilty. But, enough are to compound the addiction problem.
Unrelenting headlines regarding the nation’s Opioid epidemic can make it seem medical doctors are so ready to prescribe these potentially highly addictive medications. Opioids help in reducing pain but also maybe misused in harmful ways. So many prescriptions are being issued that these “Medical” professionals’ may as well be placing opioid dispensers in their waiting rooms.
But don’t take our word for it – It’s all over the news like this report from KSUI San Diego:

The opioid epidemic in America has taken hold and is not on its way out anytime soon. Perhaps the hardest hit is Montgomery County, Ohio where law enforcement and local government are doing their best to wage war on the epidemic. Known as the “overdose capital of America,” the county sees more drug deaths than any other county in the country. In fact, the opioid problem has gotten so extreme that Ohio State Attorney General, Mike DeWine, is suing five prescription opioid drug manufacturers for the role they have played in the staggering number of opioid-related deaths.
While the current opioid street drugs that are plaguing Montgomery County are believed to be trafficked in from China (the world’s largest illegal exporter of the opioid Fentanyl) via Mexico, the opioid problem began two decades ago with prescription painkillers.
Plantar fasciitis (PF) is as difficult to live with as it is to treat. Anyone who has felt the pain of plantar fasciitis knows how debilitating it can be. Effective treatment needs to be done daily – the good news is that most of that treatment can be done at home. In most of the cases of plantar fasciitis that I have seen in my San Diego chiropractic office the pain associated with this condition comes from a number of different areas that include muscles in the calf as well as the plantar fascia itself.
Women Runners Experience Knee Pain | Of Course Running is Good but…
Knee pain is common in runners, especially female runners. Most of the cases of knee pain that I see in women in my San Diego chiropractic clinic are caused by running. Not that running is bad for you, but how and where you do it can cause pain in the knee joint.
Chiropractors treat patients with lower back pain every day. In addition to chiropractors being known as “back doctors”, patient satisfaction surveys rank chiropractic treatment as the preferred treatment for lower back pain. Lower back pain treatment with a chiropractor simply makes sense to most of us.
