Severe low back pains can be caused by car accidents, work injuries, sports injuries, bad posture, etc. As a chiropractor in San Diego, most of the patients that I have seen over the years with severe low pain have experienced low back pain for a long time but never took the time to deal with it.

When low back pain is neglected, it doesn’t take much of a subsequent injury for it to become severe low back pain. Whether your pain is severe or not you owe it to yourself to have it checked by a chiropractor.

Spinal stenosis is a condition in which the spinal cord or nerve roots are being pinched or compressed by swelling of the ligaments that support the spine.

The pain and discomfort of spinal stenosis can be controlled with adjustments from a chiropractor in many cases.

If you have been told that your case of spinal stenosis requires surgery you should have a consultation with a chiropractor to see if you would be a candidate for chiropractic treatment.

We have successfully treated countless patients with Sciatica in my San Diego chiropractic clinic.

Since sciatica is an irritation of the sciatic nerve, treatment from a chiropractor is very effective because the likely source of the compression of the sciatic nerve is in the lower back.

In many cases the pinch of the sciatic nerve is a misalignment in the low back, which is effectively treated with adjustments from the chiropractor.

Lower back pain relief in my San Diego chiropractic clinic usually requires a combination of chiropractic adjustments, electrical muscle stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, specific stretches, specific exercises and icing.

It is also helpful if you can identify some of the things that you do on a daily basis that aggravate your lower back pain and try to modify or eliminate those activities while you heal. Treatment from a chiropractor has been shown to be one of the most effective therapies for obtaining lower back pain relief.
