What Is Chiropractic?
The education that chiropractors receive is extensive. In addition to completing the same undergraduate pre-med program that medical doctors and dentists need, chiropractors must complete four years of study including clinical training and an internship in chiropractic before receiving a degree in chiropractic. Prior to practicing, chiropractors must pass both National and State Board examinations in order to obtain a license. Chiropractic education is state of the art providing solid foundations in both diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Chiropractic care is an effective, conservative form of care that is appropriate for most non-surgical joint injuries. We successfully treat patients with work injuries, sports injuries and auto accident related injuries on a daily basis in our office. Chiropractic is often thought of as a natural form of treatment for neck pain, back pain and headaches. While it is true that Doctors of Chiropractic are very well versed in treating ailments of the spine, we are trained and our philosophy lies with the broader concerns of human health and health maintenance. Chiropractic care is just as proficient with relieving the pain of acute injuries as it is with delivering the promise of health maintenance.
